Please fill out this form if you’d like us to consider stocking your book on our shelves
Please understand we receive many requests from authors and cannot support all of them. We appreciate your trusting us with your work, and will carefully consider your response.
For Authors
Thank you for your interest in having your book on our shelves!
Before you submit, please read through the following details to ensure Elizabeth’s is the right fit for your work.
First things first: If your book is widely distributed, we likely already sell it online! Search our site to check. If you don’t see it, there may be a distribution issue (see below).
This form is for requesting space on our physical shelves, which are highly curated with limited availability. We review books that align with our mission of amplifying BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other historically marginalized voices.
What we accept:
We currently only accept direct submissions for mission-aligned books.
We celebrate every writer’s journey to publication! That said, if your work doesn’t align with our focus on BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other historically marginalized voices, we encourage you to explore the many other incredible independent bookstores that may be a better fit.
A few things to note:
Your book must be available through major U.S. distributors. If you’re self-published, it must be orderable through Ingram with wide distribution settings enabled.
We do not stock books that are available for free online.
The form at the top of this page is for authors submitting their own work. If you’re a publisher, publicist, or agent, please email us your latest catalog instead.
What to expect after submitting:
We review every submission, but due to the high volume, we’re only able to respond if we decide to carry your book. If selected, you’ll typically hear from us within 1–3 months. While we’d love to read everything, we simply don’t have the hours in the day to do so!
Please do not send unsolicited books to the store. We can’t guarantee they’ll be reviewed, and we’d hate for you to spend money on shipping unnecessarily.
Thank you for sharing your work with us! We appreciate your time and look forward to discovering stories that align with our mission.
